Your actions and thoughts determine your future!

This probably sounds obvious, right? Or do you trust to astrology and read your stars? Or ask your friends, family and work colleagues how they feel you should plan ahead? Maybe you prefer to leave decision making to your boss or the government?

Fear is lack of knowledge, and fear of the future is a lack of self determination!

If you let others decide for you then you should be facing your future with cold stark FEAR! I would be, for sure! But I am not, since I realise the simple truth is that my actions and thoughts today determine my future. My actions and thoughts today determine my future!

Think about the reality of this in your own life for yourself. Say today you choose to go on vacation to Majorca next summer and when you arrive there, an accident befalls you. Who knows, if you had chosen to stay home, you would still be OK! Often things happen to us because we are in a particular location, and if we had been elsewhere, we would have gotten a different result and experience. I had a road accident some time ago which led me to pursue a new career which centres around my home office: I figured if I can restrict the time I spend driving then as a result I will minimize the chances of having another road accident!

I figured the road accident was not bad luck, nor an inevitable fate decided by my stars, but rather it was a direct consequence of my pursuing a business that required me to drive from place to place in the course of my business day. I figured if I could redevelop my career around office work at home, then I would eliminate the likelihood of another accident. Self preservation is dear to my heart!

I believe in the power of self direction. When you direct your own activities each day you take full responsibility for what you do, what you will achieve, and whom you will become. Freelance professionals will readily empathize with this concept. You choose your working hours, what you will wear, for whom you will work, what you will charge, and even devise your own business exit strategy. You become your own boss. You follow your own dream.

Being boss in your business life gives you flexibility and power. Consider this as a serious option for yourself. Disassociate with wage slavery! Become a free citizen. Self determine your own future in every plan, thought and action you make and take.

You have complete power over what you do and what happens to you. Say this out loud and believe it! You have complete power over what you do and what happens to you!

So your actions and thoughts today, which are the consequence themselves of your past decisions, determine your future outcome. Even if you leave everything to everyone else around you, that is still your decision! You decide to take responsibility or not for your future outcome by choosing to think and act for yourself and your own purposes today.

I would like to believe that the necessity of chasing a salary is all that keeps people chained to a boring job they hate, but the sad reality is that habit and sloth and fear and indecision are mostly to blame. If you are an employee today, what exactly is it that keeps you treading the beaten track? As long as you work for someone else you are simply subscribing to their dream and paying their salary for them. And you can be sure their salary is larger than yours! So start today – set your own salary!

You are awesome! Take charge today and follow your dream. Sweep fear and anxiety away as a broom sweeps away dusty cobwebs! It is time for a change! Focus on your strengths, team up with a colleague if you wish, and go follow your dream! Network for business opportunities and launch your own consultancy. Be bold and make your own powerful decisions. Nothing need hold you back.

I have always worked freelance, never been an employee, and I tell you today, you have nothing to fear! Network locally, network online globally and display your strengths, your expertise, your dream and your service with confidence. Your actions and thoughts today determine your future so decide to take matters into your own hands and reach out for the business success which is yours for the taking.

Be confident – already you have travelled so far – the world requires your service and expert input and will pay you handsomely. Be bold, disregard fear and promptly act upon your own resolve, allowing the answers you need to come to you – the world moves aside for a man with a plan, so plan your future and take action now!
