Expectation! If you expect the ground in front of you to be firm you walk forward confidently. If you expect the ground to be marshy you walk forward cautiously if at all. Place the best opportunities in front of you therefore so you will always walk forward confidently to take what is before you!

Your future is bright with promise! The chessboard of your life situation right now is alive with potential!

Alive with potential!

Do you feel that? Do you feel alive with potential? Do you believe your current situation is alive with potential? Because I assure you it is!

I often experience many petty difficulties at a time when I expect to accomplish much fluently – most of my energy beckons to be sapped into administrating pointless petty details such as a faulty internet connection or a sudden flurry of letters all begging for reply. Emails rarely bug me: I skim through the inbox list, open any personal emails and consign the rest to a “to be read” folder. After some months I will most likely empty the folder without reading any of the contents! Easy.

So I step back and take a fresh look at the muddle: what can I salvage of energy by highlighting the essential and trashing the muddle? Ok, so today my internet connection is “no network” – during the week I will consider a new connection, meanwhile I will sort my desktop of “to be read” ebooks and documents, write up some articles and blog posts ready to schedule ahead, create to-do lists of what I want to achieve in the next 3 weeks, highlight the crucial from the maybe. I reconsider my goals - what do I really want this year? What am I working on for the future? Has any of my activities become redundant?

Constantly scrap the redundant! No sense in continuing with tired routines for fear of being a quitter! There is everything to gain by quitting 80% of your least profitable activities at any one time! Quit and more quit in order to succeed. Cut out junk time and enjoy quality leisure time instead! Be aware: all is alive with potential. Never bog down potential energy with boring meaningless admin duties! Make live!

So you feel as though you are in the Slough of Despond? Or heading towards a rut? I spend most of my time in Despond, I know its thoroughfares like the corridors of my house! It is where I work and break free! I fear it not, for Despond is but the wallpaper I heed not as I prioritize the crucial potential activities and trash the routine duties of daily work. Fear not, but like the Pheonix, ARISE!

Even your worn tired routine can be revitalized: most superbly by jumping on a plane and going elsewhere! What really matters in Manchester means nothing in Birmingham. Beware of your environment closing in on you. Breathe some air elsewhere: it may not be fresher but it will taste new.

What really makes you buzz? Work with that and scrap all else. You’re passing through – no need to take residual with you. Be alive to the possibilities in every situation. Springboard constantly to greener pastures and fear nothing. Of course a rolling stone gathers no moss, but…in this new age of the internet cafe worldwide, must we gather moss? Does moss matter in Timbuktu or Tokyo?

Go with your buzz!

Pep up your expectation. Place yourself where what you expect is not only easily attainable but inevitable! Self help becomes personal power: expect to achieve the best and you will. Look at your work situation: is there a certain staleness? Instant Success is: clothing yourself in the correct expectation. A pregnant woman expects a baby. A successful athlete expects praise. A worker expects a wage. A financier expects his bank account to be busting the seams. Do your math: build the equation. You desire X result which you believe to be the sum of Y and Z? What will Y and Z be? Y will be your motivation and Z will be your expectation! Y + Z = X

Y + Z = X where motivation plus expectation achieve the result you desire.

So now go ahead and fix that! And put all else out your mind, even if you have to relocate to Iceland to get the focus you require! Somewhere in the world you can quickly and easily achieve what you want. My neighbour in an English country shire spent £14k (around half a year’s UK salary) building himself a villa with pool and much acreage in Thailand – then he emigrated. See, £14k will buy you nothing but bills and trouble in UK – but elsewhere in this world…!

So take a long look at your assets. What are you truly worth in world currency? Take a six month break to a new country and see how you can turn your money around – you’ll be amazed how much further your USD or GBP will stretch. Get a little sunshine under your belt. Because your bills and troubles will still be here when you return so don’t worry about them! They sure are not worrying any about you! And maybe you’ll cease to see any reason to return! Well, it’s a big world out there (so I hear)!

Design your expectation. Imagine how it feels to be rich and expect to have the money for everything you want. Imagine how it feels to be so accomplished in your area of endeavour that you produce remarkable fine results whenever you go to. Imagine you create sublime beauty every time your fingers touch the strings of your guitar or the keys of your piano! Expect results, get results: imagine the results you truly desire and work to expect those results!

Expectation is the instant key to your success in all you do.

Just do what you want despite your present expectations. Action brings its own reward.
