The nearest way to glory is to strive to be what you wish to be thought to be.

ACT AS IF…
They can because they think they can.
Virgil
Be bold. Act decisively. Decide what you want. What is preventing you from enjoying this right away? Begin to act in the way you will when you have what you want. Imagine how you will act when you have what you want. Feel the emotions. Understand your actions. Why do you not yet act this way? Begin to act in the way you will expect to on achieving your desire even now and you will anticipate your attainment: expectation is the way in which we act confidently. Be bold and be confidently expectant.
Direct the subconscious not only to give you the best ideas, the best plans and the best methods, but also direct the subconscious to give the proper expression to those ideas and methods. When the proper expression is made the attention of the world will be attracted; your ideas will be understood, the real worth of your work will be appreciated, and your efforts will be in constant demand. The subconscious can work out the best ideas and create the best expression of those ideas; it can give the power and the ability to do
greater things, and can give your work that mysterious something that will attract both the attention and the appreciation of the world. The subconscious in every mind should therefore be directed to do these things, because no person is just to himself who does not make the best use of everything that exists in his nature. Believe in the power of your subconscious to create your reality.
The desires of such a mind will have the power to create their own way to their own goal, no matter how lofty that goal may be. The power of the subconscious is limitless, therefore, nothing becomes impossible when we awaken the great within. All desires should be made subconscious, and when those desires are constantly expressed with the deepest feeling and the strongest desire that can possibly be aroused, you will positively receive what you want. If it fails to come through one channel it will come through another; but come it will, because the subconscious has the power to do whatever it is directed to do. To subconsciously desire something is to make yourself strong enough and able enough to command, create or attract that something. Good!
The subconscious desire for abundance will develop in yourself the power to earn and create abundance; it will increase your earning capacity, and will, both directly and indirectly, change your personality so that you will be naturally drawn into environments and associations where you can make the best possible use of that increase of capacity. The subconscious, being limitless, can work out ideas and plans that you can use in your present position in furthering your desire for the better position; the subconscious, if directed, will find a way; especially so if the desire is very deep and very strong; and you will also receive the power and the ability to do whatever that way may demand. It is therefore evident that whatever a person’s conditions or circumstances may be today, the subconscious can, and will, open the door to something better, providing there is a strong subconscious desire for something better.
When I left school aged sixteen I wondered what I might do to gain somethingof a college education in order to better set myself up for the world of work and enjoy a higher level of earnings. I decided I would love to learn music but as I had no prior training I felt probably this was impossible so I opted for an art course instead. Within just one month of commencing the art course I changed to the music course. I burnt the midnight oil to learn the necessary theory very quickly to keep up with the course content and set about learning the piano and trombone. I was very eager and never missed a daily opportunity to increase my improvement and eventually I began teaching music on an hourly rate of five times the national basic wage when I was aged 21.
I had the desire and a great sense of purpose. I saw an opportunity and hurled myself upon it. I persevered no matter the difficulties before me. I studied two years at the first college and a further two years at another college in another county. I worked part time in bars, cafes, cleaning and writing to pay my way. I played in every band and orchestra that would have me. I sang in two choirs. I took every opportunity to improve. Within two and a half years I had the skills of someone who had enjoyed twelve years of music lessons as a child and teen.
I left college early when a chance arose to teach in two private schools and gain some private piano pupils. Within two years I had 40 pupils. I worked hard and my students achieved good results in their exams. They recommended me to more pupils. I enjoyed great success and continued to play in bands. I began my own jazz group. We went on tour. I had a lot of fun.
At first a career in music had seemed impossible. Yet I held the dream. I worked hard when the door opened for me. And I enjoyed the fruits of my labour! Here I am writing online eighteen years later. I have every faith in my self confidence and in my intuition: whatever I desire I have only to turn over to my subconscious mind and it will be achieved!
Often the way seems blocked or the desire impossible to achieve. But I have every faith in myself. And I expect great results! I believe life is all about change, so I don’t expect to get bogged down with any one project but instead allow a flow of opportunity to renew me. I don’t think I have the boundless enthusiasm and vigour of those early days learning music but I have a cheerful serenity that things will be OK because my timeless self which communicates with the depths within me, the subconscious mind, is constantly drawing good things to me.
This understanding is deeper than the Law of Attraction. More than simply attracting the results which are in your front of mind, the subconscious sifts all opportunity on earth for you and bids you open mindedly follow its lead. And at times its bidding will seem crazy, impossible, unreasonable, unfathomable. Trust to your intuition for this is the beckoning of your subconscious which is ever at work on a deep spiritual plane which is timeless and limitless and sees beyond any understanding your front of mind yet knows. Be bold! Dare! Trust to the power of your subconscious!
I trust my subconscious intuitive self to produce the results I want and am ever ready to follow its disconcerting lead. What have I to lose? But everything to gain! I keep a positive mindset by creating lists of what I want to achieve in the next two and six months. I am ever subject to gloomy thoughts and depression hangs close. But I remember my past successes and expect yet greater things! The cloud evaporates and the sun shines forth! Believe in yourself.
Act as if all will be well and you will effortlessly be drawn to the results you want to achieve. Strong self belief. Positive actions. No hesitation. He who hesitates is lost! So act confidently expecting success. Reap the rewards of your continual purposeful labour. Set yourself a big new goal. Feel your inner emotions. Keep in touch with your deep inner desires. Release the power of your subconscious. Become the person you truly are. Let no one foil you. Be yourself.
